Brief Description
Mayors’ Club is NGO of all-Ukrainian significance, uniting more than 600 Mayors as well as heads of territorial communities and was developed to address challenges of local self-governance. Now we work with 20 Economic Unions (137 municipalities) to help them create a vision for the future, prepare projects, attract investments to create jobs & improve the quality of life. We organize trade missions that connect Ukraine with the world: Japan in Feb 2024, the Netherlands in Apr 2024, and USA in Sep 2024.
Role in the U_CAN Project
We will develop and promote 2 courses for Ukrainian Mayors: CNSC course and leadership course. Also, we will exchange with the Mayors of Europe, Global Covenant of Mayors and European Alliance of Cities and Regions to facilitate cooperation between UA and EU cities towards carbon neutral reconstruction of Ukraine. We will conduct two events to promote cross-border exchange of experiences, solutions, and expertise fostering new collaborations in the implementation of climate-neutral strategies.
