Pilot Ukrainian Cities

U_CAN supports implementation of pilot activities in six Ukrainian cities to demonstrate climate-neutral city solutions.

​The use cases envisioned to be developed with support from the Mission Cities will address and explore various avenues to climate neutrality efforts

Lviv will implement pilot on the development of positive energy districts and will perform qualitative analysis of possibility of city integration in the context of European Green Deal policies and strategies.

Kyiv's pilot is focused on significant reduction of vehicle emissions into the atmosphere by reorganizing Kyiv's transportation network through the use of a system of automobile tunnels.

Zhytomyr's case focuses on two key innovative approaches to achieve climate neutrality: a floating solar power plant and nature-based solutions.

Khmelnytskyi

The pilot will develop an algorithm for adaptive traffic management that considers urban terrain and real-time traffic data to effectively regulate traffic with the criterion of minimising vehicle emissions.
