In October 2025, the Mayors’ Club - a key partner of the U_CAN Consortium - helped bring the project to new European audiences during the REBIRTH OF UKRAINE trade mission to Denmark and Sweden. Representing both the Club and the project, Yuliia Chufistova, member of the Mayors’ Club Presidium, and Anastasiia Fliagina, U_CAN coordinator within Mayors’ Club, presented how the project supports Ukrainian communities in aligning their development strategies with European climate standards.
During meetings with Danish and Swedish municipalities, they highlighted three core directions of the project:
integrating EU climate policies into local planning,
strengthening cooperation with European cities, especially Mission Cities,
and supporting the development of local climate strategies to reduce environmental impact.
Presenting the U_CAN Network of External Partners
In November, the Mayors’ Club continued promoting the project during the II All-Ukrainian Summit of Mayors & Global Congress. Here, experts placed special attention on the U_CAN Network of External Partners (NEP) - a project-wide initiative uniting Ukrainian and EU organisations interested in supporting Ukraine’s climate-neutral recovery.
NEP helps participants reach wider European and Ukrainian audiences, take part in networking events, and connect with partners through the interactive U_CAN map. All members undergo a quick review of their experience and future potential, ensuring effective cooperation with the broader U_CAN community.
Reconstruction through cooperation
Thanks to the Mayors’ Club’s continued engagement, U_CAN’s international outreach has led to new exchanges with European partners on sustainable reconstruction, long-term climate solutions, and Ukraine’s readiness to move toward climate neutrality.
The message shared across Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Kyiv is consistent: Ukraine is rebuilding with a clear commitment to a greener, more resilient future - and it’s doing so together with European partners.
