We are excited to announce that Professor Andrii Shelestov from the Department of Mathematical Modelling and Data Analysis successfully presented the intermediate results of our partner KPI’s research at the EuroGEO Workshop 2024, held from October 8-10 in Kraków!

Key Highlights:

• Renewable Energy Support:

The department's work in the U_CAN project plays a vital role in developing renewable energy infrastructure in Ukraine, utilizing GIS-based tools for strategic site selection of wind and solar power plants to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.

• Urban Development Monitoring:

The project also focuses on tracking urban growth through urban atlases, land cover maps, air quality data, and other geospatial tools, contributing to sustainable urban development and climate resilience.

During the poster session, Professor Shelestov showcased U_CAN's ambitious goals, emphasizing our role in fostering sustainable city growth and climate neutrality.

We are proud of our partner's dedication to advancing environmental sustainability and geospatial analysis!
