EUcation programme launched in Lviv as part of the U_CAN project

In August 2026 City Institute Lviv, the main U_CAN partner in pilot city Lviv, has launched EUcation - a new educational programme developed within the U_CAN project aimed at strengthening the capacity of local government representatives to develop projects, attract international funding, and build partnerships for their communities.

Representatives of the district administrations of Lviv City Council have joined the programme as its first participants. Over the coming months, they will learn how to identify development opportunities for their districts, shape project ideas, and access EU funding programmes. The programme was developed in collaboration with the Lviv Bureau of European Integration.

The EUcation curriculum consists of 10 training modules, mentoring meetings, facilitated sessions, and a final project pitch. Participants will gain practical skills in project development, EU grant programmes, international partnership building, and effective presentation of ideas, equipping them with the tools needed to bring new opportunities to their districts.

The launch of EUcation reflects the broader ambition of the U_CAN project: not only to support pilot cities in implementing climate-neutral solutions, but to build lasting local capacity that will continue to generate impact beyond the project itself. With ten modules and a cohort of motivated participants ahead, there is a lot of work and great ideas to bring to life.
