Kyiv, November 8, 2024 — The First All-Ukrainian Mayors’ Summit, held as part of the international trade mission "REBIRTH OF UKRAINE", convened over 400 in-person and 700 virtual participants, including government officials, business leaders, diplomats, and international partners. The event underscored Ukraine’s commitment to economic recovery and sustainable development amidst its ongoing challenges.
Key topics of the Summit included international cooperation, public-private partnerships (PPP), industrial cluster development, and community resilience. Discussions highlighted innovative approaches to infrastructure rebuilding and economic growth, with notable contributions from USAID, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and international business leaders.
Panel sessions featured insights on PPP legislation reforms, industrial park development, and fostering international business ties. Henry Shterenberg, president of WTC Kyiv, emphasized the need for Ukraine to align with global standards to attract investments effectively.
The Summit also celebrated local initiatives and innovative projects, including the Hackathon "100 Ideas for Cities" and community-led pitches. Volodymyr Udovichenko, President of the Mayors’ Club, captured the spirit of the event: "Our front today is the restoration of the country through the restoration of communities."
