Kyiv Contributes to New Climate Neutrality Guide for Ukrainian Cities

As part of the U_CAN project, our pilot city Kyiv is contributing to the development of the "Climate Neutrality of Cities in Ukraine" Guide - a practical manual designed to support Ukrainian municipalities in their transition towards climate neutrality.

Developed by ISKPI together with TPF and other U_CAN partners, the Guide is based on direct consultations with city representatives and addresses the real challenges municipalities face when planning and implementing climate actions. It will provide practical guidance on developing Climate City Contracts, navigating relevant legislation, and identifying investment opportunities.

What makes the Guide particularly valuable is its user-friendly approach. It includes direct links to EU and Ukrainian regulations, practical examples from U_CAN pilot cities, and QR codes connecting readers to video lectures from the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities (CNSC) training course for mayors.

The Guide is expected to become an important resource for Ukrainian cities seeking clear and practical pathways towards climate neutrality. Its official launch is planned for February 2027.
