On January 29–30, 2026, a workshop titled “The role of green innovations in implementing a climate-neutral state policy for the development of urbanised territories” was held at Khmelnytskyi Centre for Support of Local Policies in the Field of Developing Climate Neutrality and Energy within the framework of the U_CAN project.
The event focused on modern scientific and practical approaches to the development of urbanised territories, with particular attention given to mechanisms for integrating green innovations into the implementation of state climate policy in the context of European integration processes.
The workshop brought together representatives of local authorities, the scientific community, and U_CAN pilot cities, including Kyiv. A practical case study served as a key working element, enabling participants to apply policy concepts to real-world urban challenges and deepen dialogue across sectors.
By fostering cooperation between public administration and researchers, the workshop contributed to the development of a shared vision for climate-neutral and sustainable cities and reinforced U_CAN’s role in supporting coordinated, innovation-driven urban transformation.
